Norfolk Southern freight train (NS 7242, NS 9615)
This Norfolk Southern train was headed northbound through the Columbus, Ohio area last Wednesday. Two locomotives - NS 7242 and NS 9615. The train was carrying a diverse load including a car with railroad track, many box cars, many hoppers, and a lot of tanker cars. The tankers were carrying various hazardous materials such as non-odorized liquified petroleum gas (UN 1075), molten sulfer (UN 2448), molten metals or salts at or above 100 C (UN 3257), ethanol (UN 1987), molten phenol (UN 2312), and propylene (UN 1077).
